What to Expect at Your First Class

Arrive 10 Min Early

Chat with your instructor, get fitted with a gi if needed, ask questions. No rush.

Warm Up Together

Light stretching and movement. You'll notice the community vibe immediately.

Learn One Technique

Your instructor teaches ONE move in detail. Everyone drills it. No complicated choreography.

Light Sparring (Optional)

Roll gently with a partner at 30-50% intensity. It's collaborative, not competitive.

Cool Down & Connection

Stretching, breathing, and your first real sense of what you're capable of.

Common Questions

Am I too old?
No. Our oldest student started at 62. BJJ is about leverage and technique, not age. Smart training beats youth every time.
Will I get hurt?
Safety is our #1 priority. Tap early, tap often. Your partners want you healthy. We teach injury prevention from day one.
How fit do I need to be?
You get fit BY training, not before. Come as you are. Classes are designed so beginners can succeed on day one.
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself. We have gis, belts, and all equipment. For your first class, wear comfortable clothes. We provide loaner gis during your free trial week.
How long are classes?
60 minutes. 10 min warm-up, 30 min technique, 15 min drilling, 5 min cool-down. Packed but not rushed.
Do you offer day passes?
Yes. $25 day pass. First trial class is completely free. See how it feels before committing.
